Dr Zaheed Patel
Founder & Specialist Prosthodontist
Dr Zaheed Patel is a Specialist Prosthodontist and founder of The Centre for Advanced Dentistry & Implantology. Passionate about high-quality oral care, Dr Patel strives to provide world-class, technologically advanced dentistry to his patients.
Dr Patel graduated from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) with a degree in general dentistry in 2000 and went on to complete his community service at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital (KZN). He worked as a locum dentist in private practice in 2002 and was offered a lectureship at UWC, South Africa's most prominent dental school, in 2003. Dr Patel accepted the lectureship to focus on prosthodontics and supervise clinical work for undergraduate dental students.
In 2005, he was chosen as a Prosthodontic Registrar among several candidates, and his career as a training Prosthodontist began. In 2009, after four years of specialisation, he earned his specialist Prosthodontist Master's Degree from the UWC.
Dr Patel has been in his private practice as a specialist Prosthodontist since 2010. Through world-class dental treatment, he demonstrates his passion, competence and experience in his field.
Prosthodontics has always been Dr Patel's calling. The field is dynamic, challenging and gratifying. Dr Patel pays close attention to minor details as he is passionate about perfection.
Dr Anthea Jeftha
Periodontist
Dr Anthea Jeftha graduated from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) with a degree in dentistry in 2001. In 2009, she earned a Master's Degree in Oral medicine and periodontology from the same university. Dr Jeftha served as the president of the South African Society for Periodontology, Implantology, and Oral Medicine in the past.
She works part-time in private practice and is the Head of the Clinical Unit (Oral Medicine and Periodontology) at UWC Faculty of Dentistry. Her research interests are in the relationship between periodontal and systemic disorders. Her patient-care concept is based on comprehensive patient management and multidisciplinary treatment.
Belinda Simane
Registered Dental Assistant
Belinda Simane has been a registered dental assistant since 2021 with a basic life support certification. She started her dental career in Dr Patel’s practice.
Working side by side with a Dr patel who is prosthodontic specialist of such a meticulous nature has given Belinda great insight into the world of advanced dentistry and implantology. The knowledge and skills she is gaining are definitely going to assist her in her growth making her a valuable asset to the team.
Her love, passion and increasing knowledge of dental procedures gives her a calming personality that helps comfort each patient before, during and after their dental procedure. She always strives to make patients feel comfortable and be at ease.
Seeing a nervous patient in the first appointment gradually becoming calmer in the follow-up visits gives her great job satisfaction. Belinda enjoys working in the field of advanced dentistry alongside passionate people.
Nazlee
Dental Receptionist
Nazlee is a proud mom to her daughter, Layla, and describes herself as warm, approachable, and fun-loving. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping and treasures spending quality time with her family.
Drawn to the role of Dental Receptionist at Dr. Patel’s practice, Nazlee was eager for a fresh start—something exciting, meaningful, and stable. Since joining the team, she has discovered a true passion for her work, especially in assisting patients and creating a welcoming environment.
Her journey has been one of growth and learning, and she continues to embrace every opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.
